Chanel Mademoiselle Bowling Bag

The other day, a client of mine is asking me about the Chanel Mademoiselle bag, and I thought it was the 2.55 reissue with the Mademoiselle closure. Now forgive me about my ignorance about this collection, but I always thought the name of this bag is: the Bowling bag.

The Chanel Mademoiselle bag is the perfect cross between the classic flap and a tote. It includes double chain handle that can be worn as a shoulder bag, extended in a cross-body style, or handled like a tote on your arm. This style comes in various sizes at different price points.

All of the bags feature brand's famous chain and double CC pendant. Personally, I chose the black caviar leather due to practical reasons - no color transfer problems, easy-to-clean and scratch resistant properties. Caviar leather is textured with small pebbles and is highly durable.

I heard many people say that Caviar leather is made of stingray skin and not calfskin. However, as a matter of fact Caviar leather is embossed calfskin in Chanel terminology.

Jessica Alba – Loving the Bvlgari Serpenti Shoulder Bag

The Bvlgari Serpenti Shoulder Bag is part of the Bvlgari Fall/Winter 2011 SERPENTI Accessories collection, a revival of the brand’s signature for over 60 years. Jessica Alba seems to be a really big fan of the medium sized bag, made of karung skin, as she carried this purse all throughout the months of November and December of 2011.

I know it’s not nice to "spy" on people, but when you do it in the name of fashion, let’s say it’s somehow reasonable and it’s not like this green jade bag, with its snake-head closure made of black and white enamel, could really pass unnoticed.

If you want to invest in a similar beauty, and I mean really invest, you should give up…let’s say about…$2,250. Not the most affordable bag, I know, but watching and dreaming are still for free.
