Chanel Mademoiselle Bowling Bag

The other day, a client of mine is asking me about the Chanel Mademoiselle bag, and I thought it was the 2.55 reissue with the Mademoiselle closure. Now forgive me about my ignorance about this collection, but I always thought the name of this bag is: the Bowling bag.

The Chanel Mademoiselle bag is the perfect cross between the classic flap and a tote. It includes double chain handle that can be worn as a shoulder bag, extended in a cross-body style, or handled like a tote on your arm. This style comes in various sizes at different price points.

Here is a picture of the bags with their respective sizes tagged for comparison.

The prices vary from bag to bag depending on the material - so far the following options are available to Chanel bag fans (Iguana, Matte Alligator, Galuchat, Jersey, Perforated Patent Calfskin, aged Calfskin, Satin, Patent Calfskin) and the sizes are as follow:

STYLE PRICE Size
Chanel Mademoiselle Mini Satin Bag $2,150.00 (USD) 9.3″ x 5.5″ x 4.1″
Chanel Mademoiselle Small Calfskin Bag $2,450.00 (USD) 11.8″ x 6.3″ x 4.3″
Chanel Mademoiselle Small Patent Bag $2,500.00 (USD) 11.8″ x 6.3″ x 4.3″
Chanel Mademoiselle Small Iguana / Galuchat Bag $6,000.00 (USD) 11.8″ x 6.3″ x 4.3″
Chanel Mademoiselle Medium Bag $2,700.00 (USD) 14″ x 6.9″ x 6″
Chanel Mademoiselle Large Calfskin Bag $3,225.00 (USD) 14.2″ x 10.2″ x 6.3″
Chanel Mademoiselle Maxi Calfskin Bag $3,500.00 (USD) 18.1″ x 11″ x 9.1″

All of the bags feature brand's famous chain and double CC pendant. Personally, I chose the black caviar leather due to practical reasons - no color transfer problems, easy-to-clean and scratch resistant properties. Caviar leather is textured with small pebbles and is highly durable.
Just thought you might be interested...

I heard many people say that Caviar leather is made of stingray skin and not calfskin. However, as a matter of fact Caviar leather is embossed calfskin in Chanel terminology.
